Volunteer Role: City Coordinator

Organization: MCG Outreach Ministries

Location: Canada (Ottawa, Toronto, Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver), UK, US, Nigeria, Burundi, Ghana

Time Commitment: 1–4 hours per week (includes required meetings)

Reports To: Ministry Leadership

Position Overview

The City Coordinator serves as the local champion and operational leader for MCG Outreach Ministries within their assigned region or country. This individual is responsible for building grassroots connections, organizing local outreach initiatives, and serving as the primary point of contact to mobilize volunteers and support community members on the ground.

Key Responsibilities

  • Local Outreach Execution: Plan, coordinate, and execute local ministry events, community support programs, and outreach projects tailored to regional needs.

  • Volunteer Mobilization: Recruit, onboard, and support local volunteers, helping them find meaningful ways to serve within their community.

  • Community Networking: Build relationships with local leaders, partner organizations, and community groups to expand the ministry's reach and impact.

  • Communication & Reporting: Maintain regular contact with Ministry Leadership, providing updates on local activities, successes, and resource needs.

  • Event Logistics: Manage local event logistics, scheduling, and distribution of materials or aid where applicable.

  • Ministry Alignment & Prayer: Attend the monthly virtual core team meeting and participate in the weekly virtual League of Intercessors prayer meeting to stay aligned with the spiritual and operational direction of the ministry.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Reside in or have deep familiarity with the designated city or country of coordination (Ottawa, Toronto, Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver, UK, US, Nigeria, Burundi, or Ghana).

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a heart for community service and ministry.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal daily oversight while staying aligned with overall ministry vision.
